In the race this past Friday, Wisconsin placed five of their runners in the top 21 spots and won the race in dominating fashion, beating second-place Syracuse by 44 points. Other nationally-renowned teams that competed in the 34th annual race were Iona College, Villanova and Cornell.
Sophomore Landon Peacock and senior Christian Wagner both cracked the 24-minute barrier and placed third and fifth overall, respectively. Other Badgers in the top five were Craig Miller, Ryan Gasper and Elliot Krause.
The next competition for UW is on Saturday, October 18th at the Jim Drews Invitational in Lacrosse, Wis. The Badgers have breezed past competition to win the event the past two years, so the team is confident in their ability to make it a third-straight win.
