After a seven-year hiatus from coaching with USA Volleyball, UW assistant volleyball coach Brian Heffernan has returned to the national coaching ranks. The second-year Badger assistant served as the head coach at the Girls' A3 Camp held at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., last weekend.

Heffernan continues his USA coaching duties this week as he departs for Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he will be working at the USA High Performance A1 Select Camp. He will be part of a 10-coach staff that will work with 50 of the top select-age athletes who are training for the High Performance Championships from July 22-26 at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center.
