August 21, 2009 | Softball
The University of Wisconsin softball team will host a fall clinic on Sunday, Sept. 27. Pitching and hitting clinics follow the Badgers' double-header against Winona State. Game times are set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with the clinic set to begin 30 minutes after the second game ends.
The hitting clinic will offer tips, techniques and drills from the UW coaching staff and student-athletes for the campers, while the pitching clinic features instruction on fundamentals. Specialized drills in the pitching clinic will aim to increase velocity and control.
The pre-registration deadline is Sept. 24th. The registration form can be found at the bottom of the page in PDF format.
The games and clinic are all part of the softball team's Fall Festival. The event concludes on Oct. 4 with a triple-header. Wisconsin and UW-Parkside will kick it off with a game at 11 a.m. The Rangers will then take on Green Bay at 1 p.m., while the Badgers and Phoenix conclude the UW fall schedule with a 3 p.m. game.
