NORMAL, Ill. -- The UW men's golf team is in ninth place with a 42-over par 610 after two rounds of the 54-hole Weibring Intercollegiate at the Illinois State Golf Course in Normal, Ill.

Illinois ia the leader with a 2-over par 285-285--570 in the 15-team invitational. The Illini placed four players among the top eight including first day medalist Luke Guthrie who shot a 7-under par 67-68--135.

Wisconsin was led by Rob Jacobsen in 13th place at 6-over 77-71--148. Anthony Aicher, who had led UW in the past two tournaments, is tied at 16th, one stroke back with 76-73--149.
