MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin wrestling team (5-0) defeated both Princeton and Rider in Lawrenceville, N.J. on Friday. The Badgers won 15 matches on the day, including six wins by extra points. Both duals began at 197 lbs.

UW defeated Princeton in its first match of the day, 29-9. The Badgers notched seven matches, including two wins by major decision and two by fall. Wisconsin then defeated Rider by a 28-8 margin, dropping just two matches.
Redshirt sophomore Jackson Hein won both of his matches, defeating Princeton's Kurt Brendel by a 3-2 decision and Rider's Donald McNeil by an 8-4 decision at 197 lbs.
Redshirt sophomore Cole Tobin also won both matches he competed in, scoring a 10-1 major decision over Princeton's Bobby Grogan and a 4-0 decision against Rider's Evan Craig at heavyweight.
Junior Shane McQuade lost his first match to Princeton's Garrett Frey by a 10-7, but came back against Rider's Chuck Zeisloft, winning by pin at 6:03 at 125 lbs.
Redshirt junior Tom Kelliher defeated both opponents he faced, defeating Princeton's Chris Perez by an 8-5 decision and Rider's Vinny Fava by a 7-5 decision at 133 lbs.
At 141 lbs., redshirt freshman Thomas Glenn lost both of his matches, falling to Princeton's Adam Krop by an 8-4 decision and Rider's Jimmy Kirchne by a 10-0 major decision.
No. 13 redshirt junior Cole Schmitt recorded an 11-3 major decision against Princeton's Zach Bintliff and Rider's Aaron Nestor at 149 lbs.
Redshirt sophomore Shawn Perry split his matches, losing to Princeton's Daniel Kolodzik by a 7-5 decision and defeating Rider's Ramon Santiago by a high-scoring 16-11 decision at 157 lbs.
No. 16 Ben Jordan defeated both wrestlers he faced, claiming wins against Princeton's Brandon Rolnick by pin at 2:59 and Rider's James Brundage by a 5-3 decision at 165 lbs.
Redshirt freshman Frank Cousins defeated his first opponent, Princeton's Andy Lowy, by pin at 3:44 and fell too Rider's No. 18 Jim Resnick by an 11-2 major decision at 174 lbs.
At 184 lbs., redshirt freshman Timmy McCall scored a 9-2 decision over Pricneton's Daniel Santoro and Rider's Chris Spagnola.
