157-pounder and former IHSA state placewinner joins Badgers after stints at Life University and SIUE

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin wrestling head coach Chris Bono announced the addition of Lane Robinson to the Badgers roster ahead of the 2025-26 season. Robinson joins the program after competing at Life University in 2024-25 and SIUE in 2023-24.

A native of St. Charles, Illinois, Robinson went 1-1 at 157 pounds while competing for Life University at the Appalachian Open during the 2024-25 season. The year prior, he posted a 4-2 record at the Greyhound Open while wrestling for SIUE, highlighted by a 60-second fall over Wabash's Rylan Hendricks in his collegiate debut.

Robinson had a decorated prep career at St. Charles East High School, where he was an IHSA state placewinner and a key contributor to the program's 2023 IHSA Class 3A state team championship. He also earned multiple conference and sectional honors during his high school tenure.
