MANKATO, Minn. - No. 1 Wisconsin (30-2-2, 24-2-2-2 WCHA) reached the 30-win mark for just the fourth time in program history with a 9-1 win over Minnesota State (8-23-3, 7-20-1-0 WCHA) at All Seasons Arena Saturday afternoon.

Junior Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) and freshman Madison Packer (Birmingham, Mich.) each recorded a hat trick. Knight added two assists to lead all players with five points.

Senior Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.) had four points on two goals and two assists, recording her 100th and 101st career goals to join Knight as the only two Badgers in program history to score 100 career goals.

Sophomore Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.) recorded three assists in the game, while sophomores Stefanie McKeough (Carlsbad Springs, Ontario) and Saige Pacholok (Edmonton, Alberta) each added two helpers.

Sophomore Becca Ruegsegger (Lakewood, Colo.) stopped 10 shots on 11 MSU attempts, allowing one goal as she improved to 10-1-0 on the season. The Badgers outshot the Mavericks, 41-11.

Minnesota State goaltender Alli Altmann recorded the loss, giving up seven goals while making 24 saves in the first two periods. Danielle Butters made eight saves, allowing two goals in 19:55 of play.

Wisconsin capitalized on the man-advantage, scoring two power-play goals on six opportunities. The Badgers held the Mavericks scoreless on their four power-play chances.

Duggan put the Badgers on the board first, scoring her 100th goal as a Badger at the 11:11 mark of the first period. Minnesota State evened the score at 1-1, scoring its lone goal of the game with 6:26 left in period. Wisconsin then scored three goals over the next 1:38 to take a 4-1 lead after the first frame.

Packer scored her second goal of the game 7:12 into the second period to give the Badgers a 5-1 lead. Freshman Kelly Jaminski (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) assisted on the play. Wisconsin then took a 6-1 lead on Knight's second goal of the game, and junior Brittany Haverstock (Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia) put the Badgers up 7-1 with a power-play goal just 38 seconds later.

Knight and Packer capped the Badgers' scoring barrage with third period goals to complete their respective hat tricks and seal Wisconsin's 9-1 victory.

The Badgers host St. Cloud State in a best-of-three series next weekend for the first round of the WCHA playoffs at the Eagle's Nest in Verona, Wis. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. (CT) on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday's game, if necessary, will begin at 4 p.m. (CT).
