
Badgers finish 11th at the Big Ten Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. – Finishing up the 2010-11 season, Wisconsin men’s golf team finished 11th at the Big Ten Championships. UW shot a 312-293-313-312=1230 in the 72-hole event at Kampen Golf Course.
Illinois successfully defended its title by shooting an 8-over par 1160. They won by 19 strokes over second place finisher Northwestern, with Iowa, Ohio State, and Indiana rounding out the top five respectively. The Fighting Illini’s Luke Guthrie took individual honors, finishing 1-under par to defeat Iowa’s Chris Brant by one stroke.
Freshman Stephane Dubois led the Badgers, shooting a 13-over par 301 to tie for 26th. Christopher Meyer shot a 16-over par 304 and tied for 32nd. Robert Jacobsen and Anthony Aicher each shot a 319 to tie for 51st.
