MADISON, Wis.-- The Wisconsin softball team got its groove back Sunday morning, outhitting Florida Gulf Coast 14-5 in a dominating 9-1 win at the FIU Classic in Miami, Fla.
Wrapping up a five-game road trip, the Badgers (4-5) concluded the FIU Classic with a season-high nine runs, 14 hits and 10 stolen bases.
Wisconsin opened play with a two-run first inning, fueled by a hit and a pair of stolen bases.

Florida Gulf Coast (6-4-1) loaded the bases in the bottom of the first, but a fly out to shortstop ended its scoring threat.
The Badgers added to their lead with two more runs in the second inning and three in the third to jump out to a 7-0 lead.
The Eagles took advantage of a Badger error in the bottom of the third to score an unearned run.
Wisconsin ended the game early with two runs in the top of the sixth.
Cassandra Darrah earned her third win of the season, pitching 6.0 innings. Darrah allowed no earned runs on five hits, walking one and striking out five.
Shelby Morgan and Jackie Owen combined for time in the circle for FGCU, allowing seven earned runs on 14 hits.
Maria Van Abel led the Badgers' hit parade with a perfect 5-for-5 performance at the plate with one run scored and two RBI. Mary Massei went 3-for-5, while Ashley Van Zeeland posted a pair of hits (2-for-4).
The Badgers will take next week off in preparation for a trip to the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas, Feb. 28-March 2.
