ANN ARBOR, Mich.-- The No. 17 Wisconsin wrestling team was upset on the road by Michigan on Friday night, 24-12.
The Badgers (7-2 overall, 5-1 Big Ten conference) recorded three wins in the dual, but were handed their first conference dual loss of the season.

Michigan began the dual with a hot start, winning four of the first five matches. Matt Cavallaris was pinned (4:41) by Conor Youtsey in the first match of the evening at 125 lbs., giving Michigan an early 5-0 lead.
No. 10 Ryan Taylor earned a 21-6 technical fall over Zebulon Hilyard at 133 lbs. Taylor scored six takedowns and eight back points to close the gap on Michigan, 6-5.
From there, Wisconsin dropped three straight matches to ranked opponents. No. 17 George Fisher overcame Wisconsin's Jesse Thielke in a 6-2 decision at 141 lbs. At 149 lbs., Rylan Lubeck was defeated in a 3-1 decision by No. 9 Alec Pantaleo. No. 15 Brian Murphy won over UW's Jarod Donar with a 6-1 decision at 157 lbs.
Wisconsin finally saw some light when No. 3 Isaac Jordan stepped onto the mat. The sophomore won by major decision over No. 10 Taylor Massa, 9-0, which helped elevate Wisconsin to nine team points and brought UW to within 15-9 of Michigan.
In Jordan's fifth win over a ranked opponent this season, he tallied two takedowns, three back points and rode his opponent for 4:40.
The next three matches went to the Wolverines, but not without a fight. Ricky Robertson lost to No. 10 Domenic Abounader in a 2-1 decision in two overtime tiebreakers.
Michigan's Jake Salazar trounced UW's Frank Cousins with an 8-3 decision to elevate the Michigan score to 18-9. UM's eighth-ranked Max Huntley overpowered No. 9 Timmy McCall (197 lbs.) with a 9-6 decision.
No. 3 Connor Medbery closed the night at heavyweight with a 7-3 decision over No. 7 Adam Coon, but it wasn't enough, as Wisconsin finished losing 24-12.
