BADGERS TRAVEL EAST FOR DUAL MEETS
- Wisconsin (1-0, 0-0 Big Ten) will take part in its second and third dual meets of the season, visiting Pittsburgh (3-1, 0-0 ACC) on Saturday before meeting the nation's top-ranked team, Penn State (4-0, 0-0 B1G) on Sunday. Both meets are set to begin at 12 p.m. (CT).
- UW has faced off against Pittsburgh just one time (2001-02), with the Badgers holding the advantage. Wisconsin is much more familiar with the Nittany Lions, compiling 21 matchups over a 32-year span. PSU leads the all-time series, 8-13, including winning the last four meetings.

NOTES TO KNOW
1 VIVA LAS VEGAS:Â The Badgers return to action after competing in the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas, Dec. 4-5. Seven Badgers participated in the 40-team event, including Johnny Jimenez (125), Luke Rowh (141), Rylan Lubeck (149), TJ Ruschell (157), Isaac Jordan (165), Ricky Robertson (174) and Ryan Christensen (184). Three of Wisconsin's competitors placed at the tournament.
2 JUST JORDAN:Â Jordan took first in the 165-pound bracket, winning six-straight matches to take the title. He won four matches by decision (9-3, 1-0, 8-1, 5-3), while the other two victories came by major decision (13-3) and fall (1:10). Jordan's tightest match came in the quarterfinal, as he beat eighth-seeded Garrett Sutton of Michigan in a 1-0 result. The No. 3-ranked 165-pounder grappled with two ranked opponents--16th-ranked Sutton and No. 11 George Pickett of Cornell in the semifinal (8-1)--en route to his title.
3 BIG TIME:Â Robertson and Christensen were the other two wrestlers to place, as the pair finished fifth and eighth, respectively. At 174 pounds, Robertson won his first three matches but fell in the quarterfinal, which sent him to the consolation bracket. He wrapped up the tournament with three more wins, including a 12-4 major decision in the fifth-place match, to finish just outside the top four.
4 SLICK START:Â Isaac Jordan has started the season with an unscathed 11-0 record, winning 165-pound titles at the Navy Classic and Cliff Keen Invitational. He is tied for the second-most falls on the team with three, while posting the fourth-fastest pin of the season with a mark of 1:10.
5 NINE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER:Â Nine of Wisconsin's 13 wrestlers at the Navy Classic finished in the top six of their respective weight classes. Isaac Jordan (165) and Brock Horwath (HWT) were the top performers, as the pair combined for three pins in nine total matches to both place first.
6 SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Pittsburgh is 3-1 on the season, as the Panthers kicked off the year with three-straight wins, followed by a loss at No. 10 Lehigh. Pitt has taken down Kutztown, Maryland and West Liberty, with the closest match being a 16-5 victory over the Terrapins. The Panthers have three ranked wrestlers, including No. 19 Dom Forys at 133 pounds, No. 9 Mike Racciato at 141 pounds and No. 19 Ryan Solomon at heavyweight.
7 KNOWING THE NITTANY LIONS: Penn State sits atop the rankings in the USA Today/NWCA Coaches top 25 and FloWrestling poll. The Nittany Lions have started the 2015-16 campaign with triumphs over Lock Haven, Virginia Tech, CSU Bakersfield and Stanford. PSU's narrowest win was over Virginia Tech, as the match produced a 21-15 result. The No. 1 rated team in the country has seven ranked wrestlers. Appearing in the InterMat poll is No. 4 Nico Megaludis at 125 pounds, No. 8 Jordan Conaway at 133 pounds, No. 6 Jimmy Gulibon at 141 pounds, No. 1 Zain Retherford at 149 pounds, No. 3 Jason Nolf at 157 pounds, No. 5 Bo Nickal at 174 pounds and No. 1 Morgan McIntosh at 197 pounds. In all, there are just three weight classes that do not include a ranked Nittany Lion.
8 RANK 'EM:Â Three wrestlers are ranked by InterMat. Ryan Taylor, who has yet to take the mat this season, comes in at No. 4 in the 133-pound weight class. Isacc Jordan is ranked at No. 3 behind Oklahoma State's Alex Dieringer and Bo Jordan of Ohio State in the 165-pound weight class. Ricky Robertson takes the No. 16 spot at 174 pounds.
9 CHRISTENSEN COMING UP:Â Ryan Christensen posted a 2-2 record against 184-poound ranked opponents at the Cliff Keen Invitational. His wins came against No. 17 Dylan Gabel of Northern Colorado (D 2-1) and No. 20 Tom Sleigh of Bucknell (D 4-0).
