Hey there Badger fans! 

Well, we did it! We swept North Dakota last weekend with some sweet revenge in a 1-0 win on Saturday (thanks to a goal from Erika Sowchuk), and a 3-1 win on Sunday (goals scored by Sarah Nurse, Emily Clark and Annie Pankowski). Both games were of high intensity, high energy, and highly physical. The crowd was electric, adding to the energy of the team. 

Especially in the game on Sunday, with the stakes growing as time ticked down into the final two minutes of the game, hearts could be felt racing both in the stands as well as on the ice and bench. As the Badgers went on a poweplay, sophomore Emily Clark roofed a shot over Shelby Amsley-Benzie's glove to give the Badgers the lead and secure a win. 

I asked Clarky what was going through her mind at such an exciting moment.

 "It was a pretty amazing feeling. I was fortunate to be able to be on the ice in that situation," she reflected. "To have my parents there and to be able capitalize on the chance considering it was tied with just over a minute left was pretty special." 

So happy for you Clarky! 

Anther highlight from Sunday includes Sarah Nurse's unbelievably beautiful goal, dangling two defenseman, making it onto the ESPN snap story and ESPN SportCenter's Top-10 Plays. Congrats Nursey! 

As for this week, the Badgers have been preparing to take on St. Cloud in a two game series taking place at 2:00 pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday. We expect another tough game, but we're ready to use our new momentum as an advantage. 

In addition to our series, this weekend marks the 10th Anniversary of the 2006 National Championship win for the Badgers, and we will be honoring that special team.
