Wisconsin looks to continue unbeaten streak at home
MADISON, Wis. -- Fresh off posting two back-to-back home shutouts, the Wisconsin men's soccer team prepares to host its last non-conference opponent of the regular season when it welcomes Western Illinois to the McClimon soccer complex on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

The Badgers (8-3-3 overall, 3-2-2 Big Ten) are coming off a scoreless tie against fourth-ranked Indiana.
Wisconsin pasted shot after shot on the Indiana goal but couldn't knock the lid off the net.
In their closest opportunity, junior Christopher Mueller took a free kick and rocketed a liner to the top left post. Moments later, the junior danced around an Indiana defender and set a shot toward the net that froze the keeper, but bent around the target by inches.
Mueller wasn't the only player in Cardinal and White to put shots up for the Badgers against the Hoosiers, as Wisconsin led in shots, 17-7, headed into overtime. Leading the shot charge was junior Tom Barlow with five shots. Juniors Mark Segbers and Chris Mueller also accounted for a piece of the shot deficit, recording four and three, respectively.
Wisconsin has now built a successful resume against ranked opponents. Wisconsin led the No. 1 ranked Maryland Terrapins, 2-1, with three minutes left before losing in overtime. Wisconsin also tied top-25 ranked Michigan State, 1-1, on the road and Indiana at home. The overtime match was the seventh of the season for the Badgers and their second at home. UW is 2-2-3 in overtime matches this year.
Junior goalkeeper Philipp Schilling was the star of the show last week, posting two shutouts against Milwaukee and Indiana.
The Badgers are an unscathed 6-0-1 when playing at the McClimon Soccer Complex this season.
Wisconsin leads the all-time series with Western Illinois, 9-3-2, including a 7-2-1 record in Madison. The two teams last met in 2013, as UW pulled away with a 1-0 victory.
Now a senior, Casey Beyers was in net for the Badgers that game, tallying one save and the shutout. Current junior Brian Hail also saw action in the contest, recording one shot.
In it last game, Western Illinois fell to Omaha, 2-1. All three goals were scored in the first half. The Leathernecks (6-7-1, 2-2 Summit) struck first in the ninth minute after Jacob Bevan shot the ball inside the box—which was deflected by the keeper—and scored off the rebound.
