After earning a historic win against No. 2 Minnesota on Sunday, Wisconsin women's hockey senior Sarah Nurse was named the WCHA Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman Abby Roque was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Nurse, who was also named the American Sports Network National Women's Hockey Player of the Week on Tuesday, became the first Badger ever to record a hat trick against the Golden Gophers on Sunday. The Hamilton, Ontario, native scored three goals in the first 22 minutes to propel No. 1 UW to an 8-2 triumph over Minnesota.
