BADGERS KICK OFF TWO-GAME ROAD SWING
Wisconsin (7-15, 3-9 Big Ten) opens a two-game road swing in the midst of playing three games in six days. The Badgers travel to Michigan (13-10, 5-7) on Thursday for a 6 p.m. CT game from Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
    The road trip continues at Indiana (15-9, 7-5) on Sunday with a 1 p.m. CT tip from Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
    UW kicked off a three-games-in-six-days stretch on Monday with the home game against Purdue.
NOTES TO KNOW
1. LOSING STREAK OVER - UW ended its seven-game losing streak on Monday with a 64-57 win over receiving-votes Purdue. The win halted the Badgers' longest losing streak since dropping eight straight at the end of the 2013-14 season.
2. DOUBLE-DOUBLE FOR MJ - Senior Michala Johnson picked up her first double-double of the season and ninth of her career with game highs of 19 points and 13 rebounds against the Boilermakers on Monday. It was the second double-double of the season for the Badgers.
3. OUTREBOUNDING A B1G FOE - For the first time all season, Wisconsin outrebounded a Big Ten foe, outboarding the Boilermakers 39-28 on Monday, its second-best rebounding advantage (+11) of the season.
4. COMPLETE GAME FOR BADGERS - The Badgers outscored the Boilermakers in three quarters and tied them in the fourth, marking the most complete game for UW this season. UW also outscored La Tech, Delaware and Penn State in three quarters. Â
5. HITTING FROM 3-POINT RANGE - Wisconsin ranks 14th nationally with a 3-point shooting percentage of .370 (128-of-346). Senior Nicole Bauman is 22nd in 3-pointers per game (2.82), 24th in 3-point field goals made (62), and 25th in 3-point percentage (.425).
6. PROTECTING THE BALL - UW leads the Big Ten in conference-only games with 12.7 turnovers per game despite recording 14-or-more giveaways the last five games.
7. BAUMAN IS THE BOMB - Senior Nicole Bauman has scored in double figures in nine straight games, averaging 18.1 points per game over the stretch. The 5-10 guard is shooting 49.6 percent (62-of-125) from the field and an impressive 52.5 percent (31-of-59) from 3-point range over the last nine.    NOTES VS. PURDUE
UW 64, PUR 57 | Kohl Center | Feb. 8, 2016
- In its most complete game of the season, Wisconsin ended a seven-game losing streak, defeating Purdue 64-57 in the Kohl Center on Monday night.
- After ending the first quarter tied at 18-all, Wisconsin outscored the Boilermakers (16-7, 7-5) over the next two periods to take a 46-42 lead after three quarters.
- The Badgers outscored Purdue 18-15 in the fourth quarter, pulling away over the last minute with baskets from Nicole Bauman and Michala Johnson.
- Wisconsin had three players score in double digits led by Johnson with a game-high 19 points. The senior forward shot 56 percent (9-of-16) from the field and recorded her first double-double of the season with a game-high 13 rebounds. Bauman added 16 points, her ninth game in a row in double figures, and Whyte chipped in 14 points.
- Wisconsin shot 45.2 percent (28-of-62) from the field, including 45.5 percent (15-of-33) from 3-point range. Purdue shot 41.5 percent (22-of-53) from the field, including 33.3 percent (9-of-27) from behind the arc. The Badgers got to the free-throw line eight times, making four for 50 percent while the Boilermakers hit 90.9 percent (10-of-11) from the line.
- For the first time this season, the Badgers outrebounded a Big Ten opponent, outboarding the Boilers 39-28, including 15-8 on offensive boards. McMorris added six boards and Whyte tied her season high with five rebounds.
- Wisconsin dished off 15 assists, behind five apiece from Cichy and Whyte, while turning the ball over 14 times. The Badgers scored 20 points off 16 Purdue turnovers.
BOUNCING BACK ON THE BOARDS
After struggling with rebounds for most of the Big Ten season, Wisconsin outrebounded Purdue 39-28, including 15-8 on offensive boards, on Monday. It was the first time this Big Ten season that the Badgers have outrebounded an opponent and marked UW's second highest rebounding advantage (+11) of the season. Wisconsin outscored Purdue 12-10 on second-chance baskets. Purdue's 28 rebounds were the lowest total by a Badger opponent this season.
    In Big Ten games, Wisconsin is getting outboarded 39.2 - 32.5 (-6.7). Opponents are outscoring the Badgers 13.3 - 9.0 on second-chance points on the season and 13.8 - 9.8 in Big Ten games.

OH MICKEY, SHE'S SO FINE!
Redshirt senior Michala Johnson had her first double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds against Purdue on Monday. The 6-3 forward shot 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the field, taking a season-high field goal attempts. She also had a season high rebounds while adding two blocks in 33 minutes of play. Johnson picked up the ninth double-double of her career and her first double-figure rebounding game of the season, marking the ninth 10-plus rebounding game of her career.
    It was just the second double-double by a Badger player this season as Johnson joined senior Nicole Bauman, who had 15 points and 10 rebounds at Nebraska on Jan. 27.
    Johnson has scored in double figures 15 times this season, leading the team in scoring in three games and in rebounding in ninth games. She ranks third on the team with 11.1 points per game this season and leads the Badgers with 6.5 rebounds per game.
COMPLETE GAME
Wisconsin played its most complete game of the season against Purdue on Monday. The Badgers outscored the Boilermakers in three quarters while the two teams tied in the first quarter. UW also outscored its opponents in three quarters against La Tech, Delaware and Penn State.
    The Badgers have struggled to put together complete games this season. Wisconsin has outscored opponents in two quarters in eight games, in one quarter in six games and has failed to outscore a foe in a quarter in four contests. UW has tied opponents in three periods.
    On the season, Wisconsin is being outscored in quarters one through three while outscoring opponents in the fourth quarter.
QUARTER STRUGGLES
The Badgers were outscored by Ohio State 19-7 in the third quarter on Feb. 4, marking the 12th time this season that UW has been outscored by 10-or-more points in a period. UW has been outscored by 10-plus points four times in the first period, four times in the second period, three times in the third period, and once in the fourth period.
   Wisconsin has also recorded some impressive scoring advantages for a quarter in six games. All double-figure edges have come in the second half of play.
    Senior Michala Johnson's 15 points in the second period at Nebraska on Jan. 27 was the most by a Badger in a single quarter this season.
    Nicole Bauman has scored 10-or-more points in a period six times, including 11 points in the fourth quarter at Ohio State on Feb. 4 while Cayla McMorris scored 11 points in the second quarter vs. Wake Forest.
UP AND DOWN FROM 3-POINT RANGE
In four of their last five games, the Badgers have shot 36 percent or better from 3-point range. Wisconsin has upped its season percentage to .370 (128-of-346), which ranks 14th nationally and fourth in the Big Ten.
    The Badgers have struggled with their shooting from deep at times this season, hitting less than 30 percent in seven games, including four Big Ten contests.
    UW has shot 40 percent or better in eight games, including a season-best 75 percent (9-of-12) against Northern Illinois on Dec. 16. That mark would rank second on the Badger single-game record list. Wisconsin also shot 66.7 percent (12-of-18) against Penn State on Jan. 10, which would tie for fifth on UW's record list.
LINE LABORS
Wisconsin has also struggled from the free throw line this season, ranking 12th in the Big Ten at 67.5 percent (228-of-338). UW improves in Big Ten games, shooting 69.1 percent (112-of-162) for 10th in the league.
    The Badgers have shot 60 percent or less in six games while shooting 70 percent or better in nine contests.
    UW tied a season high makes from the charity stripe at Illinois on Jan. 17, going 18-of-23 (.783). The Badgers shot a season-high 1.000 (9-of-9) from the line at Rutgers on Jan. 7.
CAREER LIST UPDATES
Senior Michala Johnson is shooting 53.3 percent (344-of-646) from the field for her Badger career, which would go down in the UW record books as the No. 1 best shooting percentage. The current mark is 53.1 percent (741-of-1395) set by Barb Franke (1991-96).
    Senior Nicole Bauman ranks third on the UW career record list with 222 made 3-pointers. She needs 12 more triples to move into second, currently held by Katie Voigt (1993-98) with 234 treys. Bauman continues to lead the Badger career list in 3-point percentage at .418 (222-of-531). She also moved into fifth in career 3-point attempts with 531. She needs 27 attempt to move into fourth, a position currently held by Stephanie Rich (2002-05) with 558 attempts. Bauman also moved into 19th on the career list with 1,147 points. She needs 83 points to move into 18th, a position held by Morgan Paige (2010-14) with 1,230 points.
I GOT THAT
Two Badgers picked up career milestones on Monday against Purdue.
- Redshirt senior Michala Johnson reach 800 points at Wisconsin against Purdue on Monday. She has 803 points in the Cardinal and White.
- Sophomore Cayla McMorris picked up her 300th career point against the Boilermakers. She has 301 points in her second season.
COUNTING DOWN
Three Badgers are counting down to career milestones.
- Senior Nicole Bauman needs three steals for 100 takeaways in her career. She is also counting down to 300 career assists, needing 15 helpers.
- Redshirt senior Michala Johnson will reach 900 career points with 20 tallies. She also needs six rebounds for 400 boards at UW and 30 boards for 500 in her career.
- Senior Dakota Whyte will join the 300 career assist club with 13 dimes.
SCOUTING MICHIGAN
- This game will be the 64th meeting between the two teams. Wisconsin leads the all-time series 40-23, including 17-13 in Ann Arbor. The Badgers won the only meeting between the two teams last season, 63-53 in Madison on Dec. 28, 2014. That snapped a three-game winning streak by the Wolverines.
- The Wolverines are tied for eighth in the Big Ten at 5-7 and 13-10 overall.
 - Michigan has won two of its last three games, downing Illinois 96-83 on Sunday at home. UM fell at Michigan State, 85-64, on Feb. 3 after downing Minnesota, 92-76, on Jan. 31.
- Michigan features a high-scoring offense, ranking fourth in the Big Ten with 81.3 points per game. The Wolverines shoot 48.8 percent from the field, which ranks second in the conference, including 39.6 percent from 3-point range, which also ranks second. Â
- Sophomore Katelynn Flaherty, a 5-7 guard, leads the Wolverines and ranks third in the Big Ten with 22.7 points per game. She takes and makes the most 3-pointers and free throws on the team, shooting 41.8 percent (69-of-165) from behind the arc and 89.5 percent (68-of-76) from the free-throw line.
- Freshman Hallie Thome, a 6-5 forward, adds 14.3 points per game while ranking second on the squad with 5.6 rebounds per game. Thome ranks third in the Big Ten, shooting 65.4 percent (136-of-208) from the field. She also has a team-high 30 blocks, tied for seventh in the conference with 1.3 blocks per game.
- Junior Siera Thompson, a 5-7 guard, adds 8.9 points per game while dishing off a team-high 116 assists (5.0/game), which ranks sixth in the Big Ten.  FOLLOW THE #BADGERS ON TWITTER
