DES MOINES, Iowa -- After winning the men's 4x1600-meter relay on Thursday, the Wisconsin track and field team continued its success by nabbing a pair of podium finishes on Friday at the 107th running of the Drake Relays at historic Drake Stadium.
Sophomore Jake Wallenfang finished third in the men's pole vault with a clearance of 16 feet, 10 3/4 inches, which marked a season-best clearance outdoors. The Green Bay, Wisconsin, native didn't have a miss in the competition until the bar went to 17-4 3/4, where he bowed out of the competition.

Austin Mudd finished sixth in 7:30.22 after Ramos, Hardy and Mudd led Wisconsin to the 4x1600 title on Thursday.
The lone UW woman to compete on Friday, junior
Brenna Detra, finished 15th in the 400 hurdles in 59.88 seconds. It marked just the second time this year that Detra dipped under the minute mark in the 400 hurdles.
"It was great to see our 4x200 squad shine today," UW Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Mick Byrne said. "Lorenzo opened up well and the group as a whole looked good. Jake also did well in brisk conditions in front of a big crowd."
The Badgers wrap up the final day of competition at the Drake Relays at 10:20 a.m. CT on Saturday with the men's sprint medley relay. In addition, a group of Wisconsin student-athletes will compete at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet on Sunday, as the meet was originally slated for Saturday.
