Wisconsin in 15th through Round 1
Awendaw, S.C. – The Wisconsin men's golf team (+17, 305) recorded a 17-over 305 in the first round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate.

UW is in 15th, trialing Kentucky (+12, 300) by five strokes, while it is six strokes back of Maryland (+11, 299).

Charleston Southern (-15, 273) leads the tournament at 15-under, followed by 11-under South Carolina (-11, 277).
Â
Wake Forest (-4, 284) and Missouri (-4, 284) are knotted in third and Duke (+1, 289) and NC State (+1, 289) are tied for fifth.

Eddie Wajda III was Wisconsin's best golfer, as the sophomore went for a 1-under 71 to tie him for 18th on the player leaderboard. His 71 matches a season-low for 18 holes.

Next were Jordan Hahn and Ben Skogen with a 4-over 76. The duo is tied for 52nd.

Johnny Decker and Tommy Schofield—competing in his first spring event—recorded identical first rounds at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. They each registered a 10-over 82 which knotted them in 73rd.

Wisconsin continues second-round play on Monday before wrapping up the tournament on Tuesday.
