Badgers will resume second inning with Northwestern in doubleheader
MADISON, Wis.-- Due to inclement weather, the Wisconsin softball team has postponed its game against Northwestern and will now play a doubleheader on Sunday. The game will resume in the bottom of the second inning at 11 a.m.
Before the rain began, the Badgers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Melanie Cross bunted, reaching first base on an error. The overthrow at first base allowed Kelsey Jenkins and Ashley Van Zeeland to score for the Wisconsin lead.
Starting pitcher Kirsten Stevens recorded one strikeout and allowed one hit in two innings pitched.
