DES MOINES, Iowa -- The final day of the Drake Relays was a light one for the Wisconsin track and field team, as the Badgers competed in four events at historic Drake Stadium to wrap up the three-day competition.

For the women, sophomore

The distance medley relay team of
Amy Davis,
Brenna Detra,
Emma Reifel, and
Gabi Anzalone took sixth in 11 minutes, 35.24 seconds.Â

Dairius Ragland and redshirt freshman
Cooper Barth finished the 1600-meter relay in 3:29.29.
"We went down there to run relays and have some fun," UW Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Mick Byrne said. "The weather was obviously a challenge, especially today. I wanted to give a lot of athletes a shot at racing, and at the end of the day we had some good stuff on the men's and women's side.
"I like the format of the meet as well. The main thing we took away from the meet is for the future that we should concentrate on a couple relays and be successful in them. This is a meet we can look forward to in the future and kids can do well at."
A pair of meets await the Badgers on Sunday, as athletes will head to Whitewater for the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet on Sunday while
Morgan McDonald races Saturday night at the prestigious Payton Jordan Invitational in Stanford, California.
