MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's hockey program announced Monday that the program will host its fifth "Fill the Bowl" game in the Kohl Center on Jan. 14.
This year's "Fill the Bowl" contest against St. Cloud State marks UW's first "Fill the Bowl" since the 2013-14 season when the Badgers broke the NCAA women's hockey single-game attendance record with a crowd of 13,573 fans.
"We're thrilled to host another 'Fill the Bowl' game," UW head coach
Mark Johnson said. "The community has done a great job supporting this event in the past. As a program, we are excited to play again in the Kohl Center and look to break our attendance record we set a couple of years ago."
Tickets for this year's game will be $1 and more ticket information will be available in the upcoming weeks.
"The team is excited to play another game in the Kohl Center" senior alternate captain
Jenny Ryan said. "My last 'Fill the Bowl' experience was one I will never forget. It is amazing to see how much support we can get for such a great cause and it's obviously extremely fun playing in front of such a big crowd.
"As a senior I'm really glad I am able to play in another 'Fill the Bowl' and add this to the list of things I will never forget during my time here at Wisconsin."
The Badgers are 3-1 in their previous four "Fill the Bowl" games, including a 4-0 win over St. Cloud State in the inaugural event during the 2007-08 season when UW had 5,377 fans in attendance.
