MADISON, Wis. — Still thinking about if you should join the Badgers in Miami for the Orange Bowl? We've got 10 fantastic reasons why you should join us ...
ON THE FIELD
One of the Best: The Orange Bowl is one of just four bowl games this season to feature a top-10 matchup (No. 6 Wisconsin vs. No. 10 Miami). Miami was ranked as high as second in the Associated Press Poll this year while UW climbed as high as No. 3. The Orange Bowl is ranked as the year's fifth-best bowl game by both CBSSports.com and Stewart Mandel of The Athletic.
Lucky No. 13: In 128 years of playing football, Wisconsin has never won 13 games in a season. The Badgers have the chance to collect win No. 13 in the Orange Bowl.
Â
Winning is Fun: The Badgers are looking for their fourth straight bowl victory, and second straight in a New Year's Six Bowl. Wisconsin defeated Auburn in the 2015 Outback Bowl, USC in the 2015 Holiday Bowl and Western Michigan in the 2017 Cotton Bowl.
Be a Part of History: The Rose Bowl is the only bowl game that has been played longer than the Orange Bowl. The first Orange Bowl was played on Jan. 1, 1935. It has been the site of five national championship games as a part of the Bowl Coalition, the Bowl Alliance and the BCS. In 2015 it also hosted a CFP semifinal game between Clemson and Oklahoma. This marks Wisconsin's first appearance in the Orange Bowl.
