
Ten Badgers earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

Student-athletes earn their first Academic All-Big Ten honors
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's cross country team saw 10 of its members recognized by the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday, as the league released the names of student-athletes who were named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.
To earn Academic All-Big Ten honors, student-athletes must have above a 3.0 grade-point average and been at their institution for at least 12 months.Â
For the third-straight cross country season, Morgan McDonald and Tyson Miehe earned Academic All-Big Ten Honors, while Ben Eidenschink, Olin Hacker and captain Joe Hardy earned the honor for a second-straight year.Â
Junior Zack Benning and Troy Smith also earned their second career Academic All-Big Ten honor in cross country while Eric Brown, Cooper Barth and Andrew Schilling became first-time recipients of the honor in cross country.Â
