COLUMBUS, Ohio - Wisconsin had trouble holding its own against highly-ranked Ohio State. The Badgers were shut out by the No. 2 Buckeyes, 7-0, on Friday afternoon. 

UW struggled to win any set during singles action as Ohio State came out firing and never let up. 

Despite Wisconsin's attempt to change up the doubles duos, Ohio State earned the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Playing at the No. 1 spot, the Badger duo of Maria Avgerinos and Kelsey Grambeau fell 6-1 to  No. 63-ranked Francesca Di Lorenzo and Anna Sanford. Playing at the No. 2 position,  Christina Zordani and Sydney Rider suffered a 6-0 loss to No. 31-ranked Gabriella De Santis and Sandy Niehaus. The court three match between UW's Michelle Linden and Melissa Pick and Ohio State's No. 79-ranked Ferny Angeles Paz and Olivia Sneed was ultimately abandoned. 

The Badgers host their first home match against a Big Ten opponent this season on Sunday. The first serve against Penn State is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. (CT).
