Ruble, Letten set for The Boat Race

Former Badgers extend streak to eight consecutive years with a Badger in the race
MADISON, Wis. – A pair of former Wisconsin men's rowers in Ben Ruble and James Letten are set to take part in The Boat Race, on Sunday, April 2 on the Thames River in London.
Ruble, who will race for the third time, and Letten, who makes his debut, will compete for the Cambridge eight that will take on Oxford.
Letten, the 2016 C.R.A.S.H. B's World Champion, becomes the 11th Badger to race in the event and extends Wisconsin's streak to eight consecutive years having at least one alumni take part.
Competing with former Badger Luke Juckett in last year's race, Ruble helped Cambridge win and became the fifth and sixth Badgers to win titles.
They joined Cambridge rowers Steve Dudek (2012) and Derek Rasmussen (2010), as well as Oxford rowers Paul Daniels (2006) and Sam McLennan (2003) as The Boat Race champions.
Cambridge leads 82-79 all time in the event, now in its 163rd running. There was one dead heat in 1877.
