MADISON, Wis. -- Four members of the Wisconsin men's swimming program have officially earned themselves spots in individual events at the 2017 NCAA Championships.

Seniors
Cannon Clifton,
Matt Hutchins and
Brett Pinfold along with junior
Victor Goicoechea each had their names listed by the NCAA on the meet selection sheet that was released on Wednesday.

The men's national competition is scheduled for March 22-25 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Clifton and Hutchins each qualified to swim in three individual events, with Clifton competing in the 50-yard freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly and Hutchins taking on the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free.

Pinfold qualified in two events and will go head-to-head with Hutchins in the 200 free while also swimming in the 200 individual medley race.

Goicoechea will join Hutchins in the 1650 free competition.

The Badgers men also will compete in four relays in Indianapolis, the 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle and 400 medley relays.

In addition to the four individual qualifiers,
Ryan Stack,
Ryan Barsanti,
Harrison Tran and
Griffin Back were part of those relay efforts during the season.

The Wisconsin women have qualified seven swimmers for individual events and all five of their relays for the NCAA women's meet, which begins March 15 in Indianapolis.
