Quotables

"We served pretty well. Eleven service errors is quite a bit more than what we want. We've got some kids who are trying to clean up some techniques. You can feel how breezy it is in here. The ball was dancing out there today.

"Today's match was hard. There was a lot of subbing that was going on. In this game, it's really hard to find any type of rhythm or flow. I didn't really see us slacking off with our intensity or anything.

"Every match you learn a little bit more about the group you have. There's a lot of learning right now with how young we are. I liked how we came ready to play in the match. When we got up big, we stayed very business-like all the way through and I think that's a good sign."
- Head coach Kelly Sheffield

Stat of the Game

It was over when

UW dominated the first two sets but Syracuse made some lineup changes in the third set to make it more of a battle. The score was knotted at six before kills by Madison Duello and Loberg put the Badgers up 8-6. Wisconsin led 14-12 before a 5-1 UW run, led by three kills from Tionna Williams, put the Badgers up 19-13. Two kills and a block by Bates over the last six plays gave Wisconsin the sweep.
