MADISON, Wis. – The No. 9 Wisconsin women's soccer team has battled through three straight overtime games but dropped the first one today. The Badgers (2-1 Big Ten, 8-2-0 Overall) fought Michigan (2-1-1, 5-2-4) until the very end at the McClimon Soccer Complex, ultimately losing 2-1 in overtime.
It took just five minutes into overtime for the game to come to an end after Michigan's Reilly Martin's shot flew past Wisconsin keeper
Caitlyn Clem, ending the match 2-1. The loss is Wisconsin's first in seven games.
Sophomore forward Jada Dayne broke the scoring open Sunday when she pumped a shot past Clem in the 36th minute; giving the Wolverines a 1-0 advantage.
The Badgers came out aggressive in the second half and were able to even up the game after a foul was called against Michigan on freshman
Cameron Murtha in the 54th minute.

Dani Rhodes was sent to take the penalty kick, her second attempt in three games. Rhodes lined up and found the back left of the net, bringing the game to 1-1.
The Badgers outshot Michigan 21-12 and had the corner advantage, 7-4.
Clem notched four saves on six shots. Michigan keeper Sarah Jackson ended with seven saves on eight shots.
Up next: Wisconsin takes to the road to begin a two-game trip against Maryland, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. (CT), and Rutgers, Oct. 1 at noon (CT).
