Quotable

"It's not too often that you hit .400 against a Big Ten team and say that I'm not sure we played very well tonight. I'm not sure that either team played particularly well but there's no bad wins in the Big Ten, especially on the road.

"I thought offensively we were balanced and did a pretty good job. We were just uneven a little bit, maybe due to not being on the road very much this year. I thought our net play was good. I thought our blocking was good, that's something we've worked awfully hard on."

- Head coach Kelly Sheffield

It was over when

After going up 22-15 in the second set, the Badgers let the Hawkeyes go on a 5-0 scoring run, shrinking the UW advantage to 22-20. A kill by Dana Rettke was followed by a kill from Iowa's Taylor Louis as the Hawkeyes stayed within striking distance.

Kelli Bates tipped the ball to the floor, giving Wisconsin match point at 24-21. A kill by Iowa's Kelsey O'Neill kept the Hawkeyes in it, but a service error by Louis handed the Badgers a 25-22 set win.
