Marsha Howard named to Big Ten Honor Roll

Forward recognized after double-double vs. Winthrop
MADISON, Wis. – For the first time in her career, Marsha Howard of the Wisconsin women's basketball team has been named to the Big Ten Conference Women's Basketball weekly honor roll, the conference office announced on Monday.
The 6-foot forward led the Badgers in their season-opening win over Winthrop on Nov. 8, leading all players with 18 points and 14 rebounds, just one off her career best for rebounds. It was the senior's sixth career double-double. Howard also shot 64.3 percent (9-14) from the field while adding one assist, one steal and one block.
The Badgers (1-0) take to the road for the first time this season, traveling down Interstate 90 for a battle with in-state rival Milwaukee (0-1) on Tuesday. Tip time is 7 p.m. from the Klotsche Center.
Wisconsin returns home on Saturday to host North Dakota State (2-1) at noon in the Kohl Center.
