Carra, Girardot, Herbst and Magnamino to join Badgers next fall
Gabi Carra
Hailing from St. John, Indiana, Gabi Carra is a 5-8 infielder. The Lake Central High School standout helped her team to a second-place finish in the Indiana 4A Softball State Championships. As a junior, Carra was named to the All-Duneland Athletic Conference team, earned first-team NWI Times All Area honors and first-team Post-Tribune All Area honors. She also received sportsmanship and scholar athlete awards. Carra is a three-year varsity player who has tallied 84 hits throughout her prep career thus far.Carra plays club ball for Beverly Bandits 18u Premier. Her team won the 2018 DeMarini Invitational Showcase, was 2017 Boulder IDT champions and place third at the 2017 PGF national tournament.

She has grown as an athlete each season, learning from Coach Jen Tyrell while playing with some of the most talented softball players in the country. Gabbi is a leader at Lake Central high school and in her community. For as a good of an athlete as Gabbi is, she's an even better teammate and person. Her speed on the bases and athleticism on defense will make her a threat at the plate and a game changer in the field."

Fiona Girardot
One of the top infielders in the country, Fiona Girardot is ready to bring her talents to Wisconsin. The River Forest, Illinois, native earned back-to-back Illinois 4A State Championships in 2016 and 2017 with her Oak Park River Forest High School team. A steady bat for the Huskies, Girardot has had hitting streaks of 51 and 21 games while recording a hit in 74 of her last 76 high school contests. Girardot plays club ball for Gerry Quinn's Illinois Chill team.Individually, Girardot has garnered numerous individual awards, including MaxPreps National Sophomore Player of the Year in 2017, MaxPreps All-American honors in 2017 and 2018, Flosoftball first-team All-American Infielder in 2017 and has earned a spot on Flosoftball's Top 100 from 2016-2018. Girardot is also a three-time West Suburban All-Conference honoree and was named Oak Park Female Athlete of the Year in 2018. Also excelling in the classroom, Girardot is a frequent member of the Dean's list and an active participant in her school's Spanish National Honor Society and Honor Society.

Fiona has been a standout power hitter in Gerry Quinn's Illinois chill organization, playing against some of the top pitchers and teams in the country on a weekly basis. Fiona is smart, competitive and tough. She is driven to succeed in everything she does. She has the perfect light-hearted softball temperament to grind through adversity and maximize momentum. We're thrilled to have Fiona also featured as one of Flo Softballs top 75 recruits in the country!"

Abby Herbst
Abby Herbst is a decorated 5-11 pitcher from Greenwood, Indiana. During her prep career at Center Grove High School, Herbst is a three-time All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference honoree, three-time All-State honoree, a Gatorade Player of the Year and IndyStar Player of the Year finalist in 2018 while helping her team make runs deep into the Indiana state tournament. A two-time MVP for the Trojans, Herbst is an active member in the Center Grove student government, a French National Honor Society member and has earned outstanding academic achievement as a freshman, sophomore and junior.Throughout her first three seasons at Center Grove, Herbst has a 0.89 ERA and 50-3 record in the circle including 49 complete games and 21 shutouts. At the plate, the lefty has a career batting average of .577 with 131 RBI, 42 doubles and 12 homers. Herbst also plays club ball for Jim Huecker's Louisville Lady Sluggers. For her success on the softball diamond, Herbst has been ranked on FloSoftball's Top 100 list for three straight years.

She's smart and savvy on the mound, knowing how to contain hitters and induce weak contact. After competing for Coach Huecker's very talented Louisville Lady Sluggers organization, Abby will walk in the door ready to make an immediate contribution."

Tessa Magnamino
From Los Angeles, California, Tessa Magnanimo is the fourth member of the 2019 signing class. The 5-4 pitcher completed her prep career at Chaminade College Preparatory school. Magnamino and her team won the 2018 California Interscholastic Federation state championships in 2018, was named a MaxPreps Junior All-American and earned CIF Southern Section D5 Player of the Year honors. The Mission League MVP Pitcher has a school-record 239 career strikeouts to date with a 0.75 ERA. With club team Corona Angels, Magnamino has placed second at nationals in 2016 and third in 2018.Healy on Magnamino: "Tessa is a standout pitcher from Marty Tyson's Corona Angels. She will graduate from Chaminade High School where former All-Region and All-Big Ten Badger pitcher Taylor Paige Stewart, and assistant coach Danielle Zymkowitz both graduated from.
