MADISON, Wis. – After taking a break during Thanksgiving break, the No. 11 (NWCA) Wisconsin wrestling team (6-0, 1-0 B1G) returns to action this Sunday, Dec. 2, as they travel to Edwardsville, Ill. to compete in the SIUE Cougar Clash tournament.

1. THE COMPETITION: Six other Division I opponents will be competing at the tournament. That group includes No. 16 Arizona State (1-2), Army (0-0), Chattanooga (0-1), Cleveland State (1-2), Kent State (3-5) and SIUE (0-2).

2. LOOKING FOR ANOTHER TITLE: Junior Tristan Moran (7-2), sophomore Evan Wick (9-0) and freshman Trent Hillger (6-0) all already have tournament titles under their belt this season, after winning their respective weight classes at the Cyclone Open. The trio will look to double their hardware this weekend.

3. STAYING HOT: Senior Ryan Christensen (8-1) is looking to keep the momentum rolling this weekend, after he knocked off two wrestlers ranked above him the last time the Badgers competed, moving him up to No. 10 in the country at 174 pounds.

4. TOP-10 MATCHUPS: Wisconsin could potentially have two top-10 matchups on deck this weekend against a pair of Arizona State wrestlers. At 165 pounds, No. 2 (Intermat) Evan Wick may face No. 8 Josh Shields of Arizona State. Wick is 3-0 against ranked wrestlers this year, including victories over the currently No. 9 and No. 10 ranked wrestlers, Bryce Steiert of Northern Iowa and Isaiah White of Nebraska. At 174 pounds, No. 10 Ryan Christensen could face No. 1 ranked Zahid Valencia of ASU. Christensen is 2-1 against ranked opponents this season.
