Nine Badgers earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

Student-athletes receive conference recognition for their work in the classroom
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's cross country team saw nine of its members recognized for their scholarly achievements last Wednesday, as the Big Ten Conference announced the names of student-athletes who were named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.

To earn Academic All-Big Ten honors, student-athletes must be enrolled at their respective institution for at least 12 months and carry a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

For the fourth-straight year, redshirt seniors Morgan McDonald and Tyson Miehe both earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition, while Zack Benning, Ben Eidenschink and Olin Hacker each earned their third-straight academic accolade.

Junior Andrew Schilling earned his second-straight honor from the conference while Seth Hirsch, Noah Jacobs and Zack Snider became first-time Academic All-Big Ten recipients for the cross country season.
