MADISON, Wis. – After taking the road less traveled to the University of Wisconsin, senior
Victor Goicoechea is concluding his career as a Badger by competing at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend in Minneapolis.

Goicoechea is in the middle of an especially busy three-day stretch. By weekend's end, he will have competed in a total of three events: the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 1650 free.

Two of those events have already taken place — Goicoechea placed 38th (4 minutes, 18.36 seconds) in the 500 free on Thursday, and then finished 42
nd (1:38.35) in the 200 free on Friday.

Goicoechea's signature event, the 1650 freestyle, will take place at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. He enters the event seeded 27th with a season-best time of 14:52.13 and will look to top his personal-best mark, which currently sits at 14:50.59.Â
