1. HotelRED CHAMPS: Wisconsin opened its home season by winning the fifth-annual HotelRED Invitational with a 2-0 mark. The Badgers upset No. 2 Texas, 3-1, on Saturday before downing High Point, 3-1, on Sunday. The win over the No. 2 Longhorns marks UW's highest win over a ranked opponent since defeating No. 2 Texas, 3-2, on its home court on Sept. 18, 2016.

2. CLIMBING THE LADDER: UW moved up six spots to second in the AVCA Top-25 coaches poll released Monday. The Badgers have been ranked in the top two of the coaches' poll 10 times in program history.

3. B1G TIME PLAYERS: Sophomore
Grace Loberg was named the Big Ten Player of the Week and sophomore
Sydney Hilley was named the co-setter of the week. Loberg led the Badgers against Texas with her second-straight double-double, tallying 19 kills, one off her career best, and a career-high 18 digs. Hilley was named the MVP of the HotelRED Invitational while Loberg and
Molly Haggerty were named all-tournament. Hilley averaged 11.88 assists per set on the weekend as the Badgers hit .307 over two matches. The 6-0 setter recorded a career-high six blocks and tied a career best with 14 digs vs. High Point. She added 2.75 digs, 1.00 blocks, 0.88 kills and 0.12 aces per set on the weekend.

4. BLOCK PARTY: Wisconsin outblocked High Point on Sunday, 17-2, which ranks second on the UW single match record list under 25-point rally scoring. Sophomore
Dana Rettke led all players with nine stuffs, one off her career best.

5. SCOUTING BAYLOR: The Baylor Bears are 4-2 on the season with their two losses coming last weekend at the USD Invitational. Sophomore outside hitter Yossiana Pressley is averaging 4.83 kills per set so far this season and also adds 2.33 digs per set as a six-rotation player. Middle blocker Shelly Fanning contributes another 3.17 kills per set. In the backcourt, libero Tara Wulf leads the Bears with 4.21 digs per set.
