Badgers close out first road trip of the season

Sprinters lead UW on Saturday in Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Wisconsin women's track and field team wrapped up its weekend at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City on Saturday. 

Senior sprinter Ebony McClendon earned a top-five finish in the premier section of the 60 meters, finishing fourth in 7.55 seconds. 

The true freshman Madison Mooney took fifth place in the premier 800 meters crossing the line in 2:13.19.

In the premier 400 meters, three Badger women competed and they all finished in the top 10. Gabby DesRosiers took fifth, finishing in 55.76 seconds. Bianca Stubler earned an indoor PR of 56.03 to finish in eighth. Stubler's time also happens to rank eighth on the school's top-10 list. Morgan Parzych took ninth place with a 56.69 time.

In the premier section of the 4x400 relay, DesRosiers, McClendon, Parzych and Stubler finished seventh in 3:45.13, which ranks sixth in school history. 
 
Phoebe Edwards took fourth in the 60 hurdles Olympic Development section with a time of 8.88 seconds.

In the premier 60 meter hurdles, Jordan Hirsbrunner took 11th place with a final time of 9.07 seconds. 
 
Armoni Brown took eighth place in the 60 meter Olympic Development race. The true freshman took eighth in the prelims and the finals with times of 7.78 and 7.84, respectively.

Haley Lubow took fifth in the 400 meter race, running to a 58.29 finish. 
 
In the triple jump, Meagan Blair and Mary Bartelson both finished in the top ten. Blair took seventh on the day with a jump of 39-9 (12.12m). Bartelson rounded out the top ten with a 38-6 result (11.76m).

The Badgers head to Bloomington, Indiana for the Indiana Relays, Jan. 25-26.
