MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team (10-4, 1-2 B1G) continue its Big Ten road swing with a trip to Iowa City, Iowa, to take on the No. 19 Iowa Hawkeyes. Tip-off on Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena is at 7 p.m., live on the Big Ten Network.

 
1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers fell at Penn State in a hard fought battle, 71-64, on Thursday night. UW started the game down 11-3 but was able to capitalize on a 9-0 run to take the lead 12-11 with 2:42 left in the frame. UW outscored the Lady Lions 19-15 in the period, but the battle was just beginning. Penn State came out strong in the fourth with a 3-pointer made at 9:16 in the period went on an 11-4 run. A huge 3-pointer by junior Suzanne Gilreath at the 2:32 mark would bring UW within four points of PSU, but that was as close as it would get. The Lady Lions made 10 free throws down the stretch to grab the 71-64 win.

2. DOUBLE TROUBLE: UW was led by senior Marsha Howard recording her sixth double-double this season, with a team-high 20 points and career-high 15 rebounds. Freshman Imani Lewis added 11 points.

3. NATIONAL LEADER: Wisconsin continues to lead the nation alongside Denver in total rebounds with 703 on the season.

4. DENIED: UW is ranked eighth in the nation and second in the Big Ten in total blocked shots with 85 on the year and is ranked 12th nationally and third in the Big Ten with 5.7 blocks per game. The Badgers are led by junior Abby Laszewski with 26 total blocks, which ranks 34th in the nation and fifth in the Big Ten.

5. SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES:  No. 19 Iowa held on for a 77-71 win over Nebraska on Thursday in front of 4,391 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. It snapped a two-game losing streak to the Cornhuskers. Iowa was led by senior Megan Gustafson, who is a Wisconsin native. In her four career games against Wisconsin, Gustafson is averaging 18.3 points and 11.5 rebounds. The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series, 49-20 and have won the last 19 meetings.
