Five Things to Know: Badgers compete at ITA Regionals

Wisconsin heads to Buckeye territory to participate in a regional competition
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's tennis team will continue to battle at another ITA tournament this weekend. The Badgers are hitting the road to Columbus, Ohio to compete at ITA Midwest Regional Championship, which will run from Thursday until Monday.
1. WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR: Last season, the Wisconsin men's tennis team traveled to South Bound, Indiana to compete in the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. The Badgers picked up three wins in the doubles category, made up of teams' Robert Krill/Daniel Nuzhny, Osgar O'Hoisin/Jared Pratt, and Chase Colton/Martim Vilela. Martim Vilela posted the solo win in the single's bracket.
2. WESTERMAN'S WING: "It's going to be really fun to travel as a team this weekend to the ITA Midwest Regional. The guys have put in some serious work so far and it will be very exciting to go up against the best in the Midwest. We have some new doubles teams that we are eager to have a look at as we continue our preparation for the spring dual match season." – Danny Westerman
3. ABOUT THIS WEEKEND: UW will partake in the ITA Regionals, which will be held at OSU Varsity Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio. The first qualifying round begins on Thursday at 8 a.m. A few of the participating teams include Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, and Western Michigan University.
4. HOW TO FOLLOW: Live scoring of the matches will begin on Sunday while live video can be found for all matches played at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center. Stay up to date with the Badgers scores on Twitter (@BadgerMTennis).
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will have a break in their schedule until they compete at the Big Ten Individual Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska, November 1-4.
