Badgers stung late in Milwaukee

Panthers top Badgers 1-0

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's soccer team (2-7-1, 0-1-1) was looking to continue a six-game unbeaten streak against the Panthers (5-5-0, 1-2-0) in Milwaukee Wednesday night, but in a rainy fashion, Milwaukee defend its home turf, winning 1-0.

in the first half, UW recorded three shots to Milwaukee's six and couldn't find the back of the net. Two starters, Elan Koenig and Duncan Storey, came out of the first half due to injury and would not return to the game, a familiar injury predicament for the Badgers this season. The Panthers also did not score in the first half but controlled the ball for majority of the time.

The game remained tied for much of the second half up until the 75th minute of the match, when Milwaukee scored what would be the only goal of the night.. Dean Cowdroy kept the score low by saving five of the Panthers shots.Milwaukee tested the Badgers defense with 16 shots total and were able to come out with the win.

Up Next: The Badgers are headed back home to McClimon on Sunday. UW will take on the Michigan State Spartans at 12:30 p.m. in another Sunday Kid's day. Kids 12 and under will receive a free Bucky Badger backpack. The game also airs on the Big Ten Network.
