Wisconsin Head Coach Greg Gard
Opening Statement:
"I thought we shared the ball exceptionally well. I'm proud of the guys and how they moved it. We had 24 assists on 32 field goals. You don't do that without being unselfish. I thought defensively, especially that chunk of the second half, we got too discombobulated and confused at times and didn't do a good job. We got out of character during that stretch and that's credit to Green Bay. They try to speed you up, play fast and get as many possessions as possible. But, to have six guys in double figures again shows the unselfishness and balance within this group. We shot it really well, and we learned things both good and bad that we can work on. Offensively, we did a lot of good things for the most part. There were stretches in the first half where we got a little too one-on-one minded and it showed with how our efficiency dropped during that time, but all in all, we knew it was going to be this type of game. Credit to Green Bay. I'm proud of our guys for finding ways to finish it out."
Junior Forward Aleem Ford
On Wisconsin's offensive production
"I feel like we did a good job of getting into the post. Then, when we make those passes out I feel like we did a really good job of having those [extra passes] and shooters being ready and then a lot of guys are on the unselfish end and will always make that one more pass."
Junior Forward Nate Reuvers
On the defensive performance
"In the first half they were getting some easy ones in the rim and coach didn't like that and wanted to get rid of those. We were giving them too much easy stuff, first half and second half."
