UW continues exhibition season with road trip
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men’s basketball team will continue its 2026-27 exhibition slate as they travel north to face UW-Green Bay on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Resch Center.
The game will not be streamed online, but fans can listen to Matt Lepay and Brian Butch on the Badger Radio Network.

LAST TIME OUT
The Badgers defeated Parkside 94-71 on Saturday at the Kohl Center to open their pre-season. Wisconsin led for the entire game fueled by a dominant inside-out offensive approach. Senior Nolan Winter dropped a team-high 15 points and 9 rebounds, shooting 7-of-9 from the field. Fellow senior Eian Elmer had 14 points in 24 minutes in his first action as a Badger.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
Badger fans got their first look at exciting newcomers Eian Elmer, Owen Foxwell, Victory Onuetu, Trey Autry and Jackson Ball as they took the court in red and white for the first time. Elmer, Foxwell and Onuetu all earned spots in the starting lineup and made immediate contributions, each scoring in double figures against Parkside. Foxwell showed off his playmaking ability, leading the Badgers with six assists while helping facilitate the offense. Onuetu brought energy and athleticism on both ends of the floor, throwing down two powerful dunks and delivering an impressive block on the defensive end.

AGAINST GREEN BAY
Wisconsin enters Thursday's exhibition against Green Bay with a commanding 27-1 all-time series record against the Phoenix. The Badgers have won 11 consecutive games against Green Bay, including a 56-45 victory in their last meeting on Nov. 15, 2022.
The matchup also holds special significance for head coach Greg Gard, who earned his first career win against the Phoenix in December 2015. Thursday's game marks another chapter in the in-state series as the Badgers travel to Green Bay for the first exhibition game between the two teams.

GREEN BAY TIES
Many Badgers will be returning close to home when they travel to Green Bay on Thursday. Guard Zach Kinziger grew up in nearby De Pere. During his time at De Pere High School Kinziger led the Redbirds to a state title in 2023 and left the school as the second all time leading scorer. Additionally, a pair of key Badger staffers are from the Fox Valley in general manager Marc VandeWettering (Kaukauna) and video coordinator AJ Van Handel (Ashwaubenon).
