COLUMBUS, Ohio – For members of the Wisconsin women's swimming team, the concluding day of the Ohio State Winter Invitational finished just the way it started – with three additional personal-best marks.
Freshman
Claire Birchenough finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke finals with a personal record that clocked in at 2 minutes, 18.29 seconds.
After qualifying for the 200 backstroke finals with a personal-best time of 2:01.07 in prelims, freshman
Holly Stoll placed sixth in the final (2:01.66).
Completing the PR trifecta, junior
Kendall Smith's 50 freestyle finish of 23.57 was good for fifth place and another personal record.
In a quick turnaround, the Badgers will set their sights on the Big Ten Women's Championships, which run Feb. 20-23 in Bloomington, Indiana.
