Wisconsin Head Coach Greg Gard
Opening statement:

"A gritty team win tonight. I thought we did some good things, in terms of taking care of the ball, for the most part. Defensively, I thought we were very good again. The nice thing about having a team is that you rely on different members on different nights. Obviously tonight, Khalil Iverson, Brad [Davison] and other guys stepped up and supported Ethan [Happ] when he was struggling a little bit. We have a good supporting cast."

On Khalil Iverson's game:
"He is opportunistic. He finds himself in the right place, right time. He kept possessions alive and was really active on the glass. When he was able to attack the basket and the space was there to do it he did it pretty effectively. He also did some big things defensively to help."

On Brevin Pritzl's impact:
"I thought Brevin was really active. He just has an awareness about him. He's one of those glue guys who helps us win. Brevin does little things that helps team wins. He has a great understanding of the game. As long as he keeps rebounding and making shots, we'll be fine."

Illinois Head Coach Brad Underwood
Opening Statement:
"That was a really good college basketball game tonight. Two teams competed awfully hard. Give Wisconsin a ton of credit, I think Iverson likes seeing Orange and Blue. He's played great in all four games that we've faced them now, he was very, very tough. Brad hit some tough shots for them down the stretch."

On Wisconsin's supporting cast helping Happ in a game where he struggled:
"It's why they are one of the top teams in the country, there's no doubt about that. They're a lot more than Ethan Happ. I know their other guys did an unbelievable job of picking him up and making his night livable. because they won."

On Ethan Happ:
"He's such a smart player and has great feet and he is a really, really tough kid."
