Badgers head west to Tempe
TEMPE, Ariz. - Â The Wisconsin women's track and field team head out west again to compete in the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Arizona.
The Sun Angel Classic is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. (CT) on Friday with the field events. Saturday's action is slated to begin at 12:20 p.m. with the field events and the running events to take place starting at 4:05 p.m.
The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack. In addition, fans can follow along on Twitter (@BadgerTrackXC) and can catch a recap following the meet on UWBadgers.com.
1. (STEEPLE)CHASING HISTORY: Alissa Niggemann moved up in the school record book after her performances at the Stanford Invitational. The distance runner now has the second best time in school history in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing the race in 10 minute, 5.96 seconds.
2. BEST DUO EVER? Competing in the invitational 10,000 meters, Alicia Monson and Amy Davis also moved up in the school record book. Alicia Monson holds the school's fourth best time time in Wisconsin women's history, completing the race in 33:02.91 minutes. Davis also moved up to the fifth best time, after covering the distance in 33:15.04 minutes.

3. JUMP AROUND: Six Badger women will compete in long jump at the Sun Angel Classic. Mary Bartelson, Meagan Blair, Armoni Brown, Phoebe Edwards, Jordan Hirsbrunner and Kelsey Sullivan will all represent the motion "W" in Tempe.

4. BUSY BIANCA: The Badgers will put their sprinters to work this weekend. Bianca Stubler will compete in the 200 meters, 400 meter hurdles, and run a leg of the 4x400. Stubler last competed at the Aztec Invitational, where she was runner-up in the 400 meter hurdles.

5. UP NEXT: Following the Sun Angel Classic, the Badgers will have a week off before splitting up to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and the Long Beach Invite in California.
