Kayla Konwent named unanimous First-Team All-American

Junior becomes second All-American in program history
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin softball's Kayla Konwent was picked as one of seven unanimous first-team All-American selections by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, becoming the first NFCA first-team selection in Wisconsin history.
Konwent is just the second All-American in program history, following Chloe Miller's third-team honor in 2017.
Konwent had one of the best seasons in school history in her debut season after sitting out her first two years due to injury.
The Big Ten Conference Player of the Year finished the regular season atop the league leaderboards in batting average (.479), slugging percentage (. 918) and on-base percentage (.600).
She became the first player in program history named to the USA Softball Top 10 Player of the Year list. Konwent set the UW single-season records in batting average (.459), on-base percentage (.582), slugging percentage (.859), OPS (1.441), runs batted in (53), home runs (15) and was second in hits (78) and doubles (21).
