CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The 11th-ranked Wisconsin men's field athletes head to Cedar Falls, Iowa, on Friday to compete in the Jack Jennett Open. The Badger athletes begin competition at 11:15 a.m. with the men's and women's high jump.

1. LAST TIME THROWS: The Badger field athletes competed last weekend at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational. Four Badgers placed in the top 10 of the weight throw, which included redshirt seniors Tucker Wedig (third) and Jamar Manning (fifth) and redshirt sophomores Austin Glynn (sixth) and Dan Ufearo (eighth).
2. LAST TIME JUMPS: Also at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational, senior Rashid Coulibaly was the top finisher in the pole vault, finishing fifth at 16 feet,10 3/4 inches and also taking fifth in the long jump at 23-9 1/2. Senior Zach Lorbeck tied for seventh in the high jump at 6-8 3/4 and also took ninth in the long jump at 23-2. Freshman Peyton Frankenreider placed seventh in the triple jump at 47-7 3/4 to lead UW.
3. DIRTY DOZEN: Twelve field athletes will be traveling to Iowa represent the Badger men this weekend. Those traveling will be Cade Amborn, Connor Barfknecht, Rashid Coulibaly, Peyton Frankenreider, Austin Glynn, Max Herkert, Chandler Ifft, Zach Lorbeck, Jamar Manning, Canon Melstrand, Dan Ufearo and Tucker Wedig.
4. USTFCCCA RANKING: The men were ranked at No. 11 entering the 2020 indoor season by USTFCCCA. Updated national and regional rankings will be released on Monday.
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will send their sprinters, middle distance and distance runners as well as their horizontal jumpers to the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Indiana, on Jan. 31-Feb. 1. UW's multi-event athletes and vertical jumpers head to the Jack Johnson Classic in Minneapolis on Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
