MADISON, Wis. — Twenty years ago, a Cinderella story was written that ensured Wisconsin would never be called a Cinderella again.
Sunday, the Wisconsin men's basketball program is proud to welcome back members of its 2000 Final Four team, including head coach Dick Bennett. Fans attending Sunday's game at the Kohl Center are encouraged to be in their seats by 11:45 a.m. CT with the game against Ohio State scheduled to tip off at noon.
As a tribute to Coach Bennett, fans attending Sunday's game are encouraged to bring back the tradition of standing at the start of the game until the opposing team scores.
There will be a special halftime ceremony to celebrate the 2000 Final Four team by recognizing the members in attendance and that team's magical run to the Final Four.
In celebration of the 20-year reunion, the current Badgers team will be wearing throwback uniforms for Sunday's game in their honor.
Free breakfast sandwiches will also be available for students outside Section 115, courtesy HyVee.
