SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The 16th-ranked Wisconsin men's track and field team traveled to Indiana to compete in day one of the Meyo Invitational on Friday event.
The distance medley squad of
Austin Rendon,
Jon Burt,
Tannor Wagner and
Jackson Sharp won the event in 9 minutes, 52.43 seconds, edging Purdue by two seconds to claim the title.Â
Sophomore
Stacey Boyd II took home 11th place in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash with a personal best time of 6.88, one-tenth of a second better than his previous best. Boyd also placed eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.74, only one-tenth of a second off of his personal best of 21.64.
Redshirt sophomore
Hudson Kugel ran a personal best time of 1:18.97 in the 600 meters to take home ninth place. Sophomore
Colin Enz came in not far behind, placing 13th in 1:19.31.Â

Olli Hoare will run the Wanamaker Mile tomorrow at the 113th Millrose Games. Last year, the senior from Australia broke the school record as well as the Big Ten record with a time of 3:54.83. Hoare is set to run at 4:50 p.m. CT. Throwers open competition in Ripon tomorrow, beginning at 11 a.m. with the women's weight throw and men's shot put. The Meyo Invitational will resume tomorrow at 8:55 a.m. CT with the 60-meter hurdles
