MADISON, Wis. --
The 16th-ranked Wisconsin men's track and field team sent athletes to New York City, Ripon, Wisconsin, and South Bend, Indiana, to compete in three different meets this weekend.
Senior
Olli Hoare was a standout for the Badgers as he secured a second-place finish at the prestigious Millrose Games. The senior from Australia competed in his second Games on Saturday and was able to finish four places higher than last year. Hoare ran a season-best in the mile with a time of 3 minutes, 56.47 seconds to bring home silver. Chris O'Hare from Great Britain won the race in 3:55.61.

Freshman
Jack Meijer placed fourth in the 3,000 meters with a season-best time of 8:18.78. Redshirt sophomore
Noah Jacobs ran a personal-best time of 8:25.73 in the 3,000 meters to place 15th.
In the middle distances, junior
Austin Rendon placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.85 while junior
Tannor Wagner ran a personal-best in the mile with a time of 4:08.49, edging his previous best by two-hundredths of a second.
In the sprints, the 4x400-meter relay of
Stacey Boyd II,
Hudson Kugel,
Colin Enz and
Robby Hatch placed 13th with a time of 3:17.03. Boyd also competed in the open 400 meters, ran a a personal-best time of 49.21, conquering his previous time of 49.59, to finish 22nd.

Badgers sweep top-four spots at Ripon
The Badger throwing squad of
Tucker Wedig,
Austin Glynn,
Jamar Manning and
Dan Ufearo dominated the weight throw competition in Ripon, sweeping the top-four places.
Redshirt senior Wedig led the group, winning the weight throw with a mark of 67 feet, 2 1/4 inches. Glynn finished second with a throw of 65-2 3/4 while Manning came in third with a throw of 60-10, which moves him into No.8 on Wisconsin's all-time top 10 indoor performance list. Ufearo rounded it out for the Badgers, coming in fourth-place with a personal-best mark of 56-8.
True freshman
Andrew Stone had the top mark in the shot put at 57-5 1/2 while competing unattached.

Sprinters and field athletes head to Nashville, Tennessee, to compete in the Music City Invitational from Feb. 14-15. Select distance athletes will travel to Seattle, Washington, to compete in the Husky Invitational from Feb. 14-15 while other distance runners head to the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, on Feb. 14-15.
