"I chose to come to Wisconsin because of the coaches and the culture here."
Â
What does being a Badger mean to you?
"It means doing everything right and controlling what you can control. The three big things you can always control is your hustle, effort and attitude and that's what we as Badgers try to do every day."
What comes next for you?Â
"For me I just want to continue to get better each and every day and continue to adapt and learn new things. Wrestling is always changing and to stay on top you got to continue to evolve your style."
What are your post-graduation plans?Â
"I have a lot of things I want to do after graduation but number one is to train to try and make the Olympic team. Outside of that I have aspirations of coaching and running my own business."
What is the biggest lesson wrestling has taught you?Â
"The biggest thing wrestling has taught me is resiliency and how to overcome the battles that life has thrown at me. Everyone has obstacles in wrestling and in life and to get over them you need to control what you can control and continue put one foot in front of the other. Always know that if you do that you can achieve and overcome anything you want to."
