MADISON, Wis. — Winners in seven straight and locked in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten standings, No. 24 Wisconsin looks to close out the regular season with a victory Saturday against Indiana at Assembly Hall. Tip is set for 11 a.m. (CT) on ESPN.
The Badgers secured a double bye in the 2020 Big Ten Tournament are are one win away from claiming the 19th regular season championship in program history and UW's first since 2015.
1)Â BIG TEN BEASTS:Â The Badgers have won at least 20 games for the 16th time in the lsat 18 seasons, equaling Michigan State for the most 20-win seasons in the Big Ten over that span. Wisconsin's 13 Big Ten wins rank as the fourth-highest single-season total in school history.
2)Â ON THE RISE:Â The Badgers cracked the AP Top 25 rankings on Monday for the first time this season. Wisconsin is on a seven-game winning streak with eight Quadrant One wins, just one of eight teams in the country with as many. UW is building an impressive resume for the NCAA tournament, going 7-1 versus the top 30 of the NET rankings.
3) THE CENTENNIAL:Â Head coach Gred Gard earned his 100th career victory as head coach with Wednesday's 63-48 victory over Northwestern. Gard is now 100-57 overall, becoming the second-fastest (157 games) Wisconsin coach to 100 wins in the NCAA tournament era. Only Bo Ryan reached 100 faster (138 games).
4) BIG OFF THE BENCH:Â Micah Potter has positioned himself as the Big Ten's most valuable reserve. In conference play, Potter is Wisconsin's second-leading scorer averaging 10.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 53.7 percent from the floor, including 47.8 percent from 3-point range.
5) SCOUTING INDIANA: The Hoosiers are 9-10 in Big Ten play this season, but hold an impressive 15-3 record at home in Assembly Hall. Indiana is led by freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, who is averaging 13.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season. IU is 3-2 in its last five outings, including a 68-60 victory over No. 9 Penn State on Feb. 23.

Wisconsin 63, Northwestern 48
Wisconsin closed out a 15-1 home season with a wire-to-wire 63-48 win over Northwestern on Wednesday.
- UW built a 14-3 lead in the opening 5:00 and never looked back. The Badgers turned it over just eight times and hit eight 3-pointers compared to just three triples for Northwestern.
- Wisconsin utilized a balanced offensive attack against the Wildcats with six Badgers scoring between eight and 11 points.
- Senior Brevin Pritzl finished with a nine point, six rebound outing in his final game at the Kohl Center. Senior Michael Ballard stole the show with a game-ending layup as time expired to secure the win over the Wildcats.
- Wednesday night's victory marked UW's seventh-straight victory and guaranteed a double-bye in the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis.
ALL-TIME VS. INDIANA
- Saturday's game marks the 172nd meeting between Wisconsin and Indiana dating back to 1910. The Hoosiers lead the all-time series, 97-75, but the Badgers have won 20 of the last 23 matchups with Indiana.
- Greg Gard is 6-2 in his career versus Indiana.
- Since 2002, Wisconsin is 26-6 (.813) all-time against the Hoosiers. Prior to that, UW was 49-90 (.353) all-time vs. Indiana.
- Wisconsin has won six of the last nine meetings with Indiana at Assembly Hall, dating back to 2008.
